Belong. Connect. Care.
Community Guidelines.
A shared commitment to keeping Ivy welcoming, useful, and safe for every family.
Ivy is a space for families to organize daily life, support one another, and build meaningful community. These guidelines explain the behavior we expect wherever people interact in Ivy, including posts, comments, groups, events, messages, and marketplace listings.
01
Our shared promise
Help create the kind of community you would want your own family to join. Be considerate, assume good intent, and contribute in ways that make other members feel welcome and supported.
02
Be respectful and constructive
Disagreement is allowed. Personal attacks are not. Discuss ideas and experiences without insulting, shaming, threatening, or targeting another person.
- Do not bully, harass, intimidate, or encourage others to pile on.
- Do not use hateful language or attack people based on identity or protected characteristics.
- Do not sexualize, exploit, or demean adults or children.
- Offer advice with care, especially around parenting, health, relationships, and personal hardship.
03
Protect privacy, especially children’s privacy
Share only information and images you have the right to share. Think carefully before posting details that could identify or locate a child or family.
- Do not post private contact information, addresses, financial details, login credentials, or private messages without permission.
- Do not share sensitive information about another person’s child.
- Get permission before posting identifiable photos or videos of people outside your household.
- Never use information from Ivy to stalk, pressure, expose, or harm someone.
04
Keep people safe
Content or activity that creates a credible risk of harm has no place on Ivy.
- Do not threaten violence, promote self-harm, exploit minors, or coordinate dangerous activity.
- Do not sell illegal, stolen, recalled, or unsafe goods.
- Do not promote scams, fraudulent requests, or deceptive fundraising.
- If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
05
Be authentic, helpful, and relevant
Use an account that represents you accurately. Keep posts connected to the purpose of the group or feature where you share them.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent an organization, product, or service.
- Do not manipulate engagement, spread deliberate misinformation, or post altered media meant to deceive.
- Do not repeatedly post the same message, unsolicited promotion, referral link, or unrelated advertising.
- Clearly disclose personal, professional, or financial connections when recommending a business or product.
06
Use the marketplace responsibly
Describe items and services honestly, use accurate photos, and communicate clearly about price, condition, pickup, and payment. Ivy does not take possession of marketplace items or guarantee transactions between members.
07
Reporting and enforcement
If you see content or behavior that may violate these guidelines, use Ivy’s reporting tools or email support@ivyfamilyhub.com. Do not use reports to retaliate against someone or suppress a viewpoint you simply disagree with.
Depending on the circumstances, Ivy may limit distribution, remove content, restrict features, issue a warning, suspend an account, or permanently remove an account. Serious safety concerns may be referred to the appropriate authorities. We may consider context, severity, history, and risk when deciding what action to take.
Thank you for helping Ivy grow
Strong families deserve a strong community.
These guidelines may evolve as Ivy grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will update this page and provide notice when appropriate.
